“ Automating Enterprise Tasks with Jams ”
- Jams provides a number of features that make it very flexible and able to meet a number of our needs.
- The features that we take advantage of are the multiple job types, scheduling, and extensibility.
- Deploying customizations to multiple servers can be a bit of a headache, due to the time it takes to get setup for the first time.
- However, when deployed using an automated process, this is only a temporary discomfort.
“ Exceptional Job Scheduler Tool ”
- The most useful feature we found is scheduling of job(s) based on workflow.
- In which critical business jobs are scheduled and executes in sequence. Without workflow feature we may have to create no of independent jobs.
- There’s none downside of JAMS scheduler.
- Though with any software/suite there’s always room for new features.
“ JAMS Scheduler - excellent job scheduler tool ”
- We’ve been able to create any type of job or workflow that was needed. We’ve had some complex workflows with over 100 jobs in it.
- The database that manages the JAMS data is easy to understand and I often query it. It has great PowerShell APIs when we need to do bulk submissions.
- In complex workflows, when looking for a specific job, somethings it’s bit difficult to find where in the workflow the job is located.
- So far I have to say I really don’t have any dislikes.
