Pros:
  • Ease of user for the end user.
  • Don’t need IT to make all configuration changes, can create formulas, rules, plans by a business admin. Reporting Integration.
Cons:
  • Would like to be able to upload data faster, we have a couple million invoice records, take about 8 hrs to load.
  • Professional services are expensive and some of the resources are inexperienced.

Pros:
  • Starting from User till Quota management it is too good, and does awesome job.
  • Calculation process in dependent on many factors and Xactlty supports most of them today.
Cons:
  • I can not do some repetitive task in bulk, which I really do not like about this software, for e.g. i. Initial Quota creation ii.Record deletion (Quota of User, Formulas, Credit and Commission rule.
  • Incentive statements are configuration is allowed up to the extent only, but for specific needs, I cannot do that in Default statement.

Pros:
  • Xactly is a great tool to work with along with the customization it offers in terms of designing the plans.
  • It offers lot of details to the sales reps in terms of their respective credits for each deal under each month i.e. there is lot of transparency.
Cons:
  • At the start of the year, the system requires a kind of fresh set up, which takes quite amount of time.
  • While I am writing Rules, I need to create a new Order Type or Credit Type, I cannot create it from the Rules page.

If you are still unsure about using Xactly for your daily sales performance management operations, a way to help you is by learning not just its upsides, but also its downsides as well. With that said, the downsides to using Xactly are its counterintuitive user interface, slow-responding customer support team, and its installation is much more complex than one might think.
