Q & A
What’s the use of the Trello app?
Trello is a web-based project management software that fits the needs of any business in any industry. Basically, it provides a platform wherein teams can seamlessly collaborate and finish projects on time to keep clients happy and satisfied.
Can I use Trello in my personal life?
Trello is a highly robust project management software that can organize almost anything. With its visual Kanban board, businesses can input plenty of information into just one card. Now, because of Trello’s flexibility, it’s perfectly suited, not only for work life, but also for the day-to-day lives of an individual.
Does Trello have a free platform?
Indeed, Trello offers new users a flexible free forever plan that they can take advantage of. With Trello’s free plan, users already have unlimited boards, cards, and lists. Plus, a 10mb file size limit per file upload. If working with a team, Trello provides up to ten (10) team boards for each user. However, it’s still limited if looking to run a business.
How much will I spend on Trello?
Aside from its free plan, Trello offers two (2) plans for potential customers. These are: the Business plan ($12.50 per month), and the Enterprise plan ($20.83 per month). Both plans are billed per user and if one chooses to be billed annually, Trello offers a discounted price for that customer. Important note: if choosing the Enterprise plan, the price decreases when the number of users are above 300.
Does Trello support Nonprofit or Educational institutions?
Yes, Trello offers highly discounted prices for registered organizations and universities/colleges. The app gives educational institutions a 30% discount while non-profit organizations have a discounted rate of 75% from the original price of the subscription plan.
Is Trello better than Asana?
Trello is fantastic when projects or tasks are often changed, but it gets more difficult when managing more than a handful of projects. Asana, on the other hand, is excellent for bulk projects and tasks.
Reviews
4.3/5 (overall) - Zee G.
Pros:
- Ease of use – They have a mobile app and browser software – Super easy to understand for new users – Sharing it and inviting new users is as simple as sending them an invite link – The setup literally takes just minutes – You have the ability to add custom fields to cards – They work with Zapier so you can trigger certain things based on cards moving to columns you’ve identified – It’s freemium is extensive
- It is my dashboard that enables me to keep track of mulitple businesses, employees, clients, partners. In simple words, it keeps me sane.
Cons:
- There were times when I sent an invite link, the user joined, but then when sending a specific card URL, the same the user could not access
- Dont like that it was bought by Atlassian, but thats not a feature. Just dont like change, especially when it just works.
4.5/5 (overall) - Michelle Baria
Pros:
- Trello boards are a very good way of organizing the tasks that we need to do for training. The ability to add files, checklists, and pictures to the Trello boards is the best part.
- I like that Trello gives you a great visibility to share your projects and boards with other members in order to be able to track progress and accountability.
Cons:
- There is something that troubles me. Sometimes when I am organizing the boards I put one in other category by mistake, because it is a too much sensitive process.
- There is no major dislike in this product but feel they have more features sometimes they confused us.

Pros:
- I use Trello to organizing my bugs and features. Its easy to put the most important things on the most important list, and put the most important card at the top of the list.
- It’s the best of both worlds of calendar and reminder app. My teammate can know the progress as well as the deadline, and they can comment on the tasks to update progress.
Cons:
- This has happened quite a few times on my phone due to which I’ve lost track of the messages and work updates by my colleagues making me really angry.
- Everyone in the company can see what is going on and what they need to do, and no information is lost.
Now let us show you some of the issues that you might encounter when using Trello. Both the search options and notification systems need improvements. The UI is not so user-friendly, and the integration with other software could be more robust.
