“ My #1 Presentation Software ”
- Keynote saves time and allows for incredible looking presentation decks to be made. From a technical standpoint, this software runs quicker and with less issues than any other presentation program.
- From a workflow point of view, being able to set up templates using the master slide system saves a tremendous amount of time for myself and for my company.
- We have a number of clients that prefer to use Google Slides. Converting decks from Keynote to Slides is quite cumbersome and I would love to see the integration between these 2 fixed.
- We currently have to convert a keynote deck to a Powerpoint presentation, make necessary formatting adjustments to fix conversion issues, then convert the Powerpoint to Slides, and then make a second round of formatting adjustments.
“ User friendly, multi-functional tool ”
- I like Keynote because it is very versatile, and can be used for several different things. I use it to build decks, create maps and floorplans, as well as simple design features.
- It’s easy to use and very user friendly for someone who is not prone to design software.
- I have had a hard time using the collaboration feature. It didn’t use to exist to my knowledge, which was my biggest problem with it.
- I’m happy to see that now you and a teammate can collaborate on a project in keynote together, but I haven’t been able to get this to work yet.
“ Easy to use, great results ”
- Easy to use, and remote control via iPhone.
- It has been easy for me to learn how to work with this package quickly. Whether a computer expert or not, most people can learn the basics with ease.
- Some say it is not as versatile as PowerPoint. Conversions are almost always accurate, but not always.
- Not quite as expansive as Powerpoint, and takes experience to jump between the two products.

Q & A
Keynote is Apple’s own presentation software, developed exclusively for MacOS and iOS users. This robust piece of software enables anyone – from students to business executives to create stunning slideshow presentations from scratch or through a custom template. On top of that, since Keynote is an Apple software, running it on any Apple device is quite smooth and fast.
Essentially, the Keynote application is available for free on any Apple device. As a matter of fact, Apple already includes this software in their devices upon purchasing one. On top of that, if you delete Keynote, you can always download it again, free of charge, from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac App Stores. However, for users that have older Apple devices (2013 or earlier), Keynote is no longer free for them. In fact, in order to use the app, they need to pay a one time purchase fee of $19.99.
Keynote is one of the best applications for creating stunning slideshow presentations. With this said, this is even more true for Apple users. That is because Keynote provides a streamlined platform for easier access, as well as a top notch user-friendly interface.
Both the Keynote and PowerPoint applications are considered to be the best in the market today. However, if you are looking for a presentation software that offers a much more aesthetic approach when it comes to creating presentations, Keynote is the best choice. However, when it comes to overall usability and functionality, PowerPoint wins in this case.
