“ Replaced our physical standup board ”

8/10 (overall) - Steven S.
Pros
  • Very realistic notes for tasks and epics. Tactile movement and not constrained to a grid.
  • Really intuitive and has now replaced our physical board for stand ups and planning sessions.
Cons
  • Nothing really. It would be nice to customise team members with icons.
  • This was a social norm with the physical board that helped in team bonding, however i imagine it is a feature that will be supported at some point.

“ Quick collaboration with real update-as-you-type across the board, perfect for collecting thoughts ”

8/10 (overall) - Veljko Z.
Pros
  • It’s great when your team is out of reach and you need to gather some ideas.
  • It works even better than the physical presence of people, because it forces them to put it in a note – you can organize notes, transform them etc.
Cons
  • The inability to read the whiteboards offline in the apps.
  • What this tool doesn’t offer is an actual meeting (call/video) – for that, you’d have to use other means to connect.

“ Vital To How We Collaborate ”

9/10 (overall) - Ilija V.
Pros
  • I love realtime board. Especially all of the updates and templates that have come recently.
  • We first started using real time board back in 2014 but stopped till just recently.
Cons
  • Wish there was pricing for a 2 man team. We are small team and 40 a month at his point would be too high.
  • Totally worth it for a team of 5 but would like to have the option of a small team like 2-3 people.

Q & A

Q. What does Miro do?

The Miro application is a cloud-based collaboration software designed for small to midsize businesses. It provides users with a superb mind mapping solution that enables them to disseminate information better. Plus, this application also helps users visualize their ideas. Aside from that, you can use Miro for research, wireframing, designing customer journeys, and more.

Q. How much does Miro cost?

Miro offers highly affordable pricing for interested customers and for teams of varying sizes. There are three paid plans that you can choose from – these are the Team plan ($8/user/month for 2 users), the Business plan ($16/user/month), and the Enterprise plan, which you can avail with a custom price.

Q. Is Miro really free to use?

Miro is not a free software to use entirely since it offers three paid plans. However, it does provide a free forever plan for interested users. With that said, though, its mind mapping functionality is not part of the free plan. You must subscribe to one of the three plans to use this solution.

Q. Which is better: Miro or Mural?

When it comes to customer support and helping educators and consultants, Mural is the best option of the two. However, when it comes to workflow automation, data visualization, and project collaboration, Miro is the clear winner.
