Overview

True to its name, Mailchimp Lead Generation is an advanced software app that provides businesses of all sizes with robust lead generation capabilities. We say businesses of all sizes because it offers highly affordable price plans, starting at $9.99 per month for its most basic plan. But, if that is still expensive for you, it also offers an entirely free plan for all interested customers. This makes Mailchimp Lead Generation a popular choice for more than 11 million users, which slowly grew since the app started in 2001.

All the success that Mailchimp Lead Generation has is thanks to its CEO, Ben Chestnut, along with more than 800 other employees, including Tom Klein (Chief Marketing Officer), Sean Cook (Vice President of Marketing), and Marc Hedlund (Senior Director of Engineering). Reviews

“ Top Email Marketing Software ”

8/10 (overall) - Jacob E.
Pros
  • The pricing is very affordable compared to other solutions out there. Indeed, I would say that the pricing is in large part why we have stayed with Mail chimp for so long (more than ten years).
  • Simple, Easy to use user interface for the software wherein I could customize the emails that go out whenever any event takes place on the website. The integrations with other apps was mind blowing as it helped us to minimize our task. The analytics in Mailchimp are a blessing to us as it helps in targeting the right audience at the right time.
Cons
  • It is impossible to make even small edits to designed emails coming from Dreamweaver in the Mailchimp back-end. You have to make the edits in Dreamweaver, export the email again and then import it back into Mailchimp. The heat maps were broken for months and rather than resolve the technical issue, Mailchimp just gave us a credit. In general, Mailchimp has not kept apace with advances in email technology.
  • The free tier plan was very less for a company like ours as we wanted to be sure about it completely before finally implementing it. Due to high email bounces, the marketing automation companies are very strict on the bounce rates and they just block your account instantly.

“ Mailchimp is the 'go to' platform ”

9/10 (overall) - Tim B.
Pros
  • For me the tool was very useful in solving my problem in an amazing way. I still use it today and I am very satisfied.
  • It’s a great service in all. It provides a great service for someone who is not of the tech world and want to manage their newsletter service without indulging into coding.
Cons
  • It’s a partner in our business, we pay for that and our clients have no thoughts about email marketing avoiding the spam and other problems.
  • We had the same subscriber on a few different lists, but they double charged us. I think they should be able to provide an alternative to this problem.

“ A great software at exorbitant prices ”

9.5/10 (overall) - Traver F.
Pros
  • Very easy to design professional and appealing newsletters that gain traction and are very successful.
  • I love that Mailchimp made it simple for me to create a beautiful looking email newsletter and be able to save it as a template to customize each month before I send it out.
Cons
  • The paid tiers are too limited (compared to competitors). Overuse of Mailchimp has led to blacklisting/flagging by several email services (risk of ending up in spam folder).
  • This was frustrating for me when I could not figure out what was wrong in order to complete my campaign.
