Pros:
  • Ease of setup, and large community to assist with any issues that may come up. Discovery for asset management was thorough.
  • This product is fine if you can count your network devices on your hands or have a small subset of devices that you would like to monitor up on a screen.
Cons:
  • IT requests had a tendency to fall through the cracks before Spiceworks. E-mail sent to the IT department could be overlooked and lost due to other requests.
  • Unfortunately, as we transition to the cloud from on site servers for my local users, many of the features are lost and we had to look at all of our options.

Pros:
  • It’s not only free, but it’s functionality and ease of use for the users makes it really compete with some of the expensive software out here.
  • Like I said, easy to reference tickets and see what the resolution was for them.
Cons:
  • Integration with other software is a problem since it allows little 3rd party software to integrate with. Besides that, there is not many disadvantages or negative sides of using this product.
  • In my 1 year of use of this product I have not seen any problem that displeased me.

Pros:
  • I love the ease of the ticketing system and the professionalism of the emails that come out from it. I have used some other IT help desk platforms but this one works really well.
  • It’s Free. It has a great mobile app that allows my techs to have access to the portal from anywhere. It is simple to use. It is cloud based. It comes with a free remote control tool (ZoHo) as well.
Cons:
  • The app isnt particularly slick but it works. I think in they could spend a bit more time on the app it would increase their portfolio tenfold. For the price it is a gem and you cannot go wrong.
  • Advertisements. You have to expect that with anything that is free. We may upgrade to the paid version this year. Limited options in regards to the User Portal.
