Reviews

“ Showcase Your Volunteers in an Instant ”
4.5/5 (overall) - Gary Wade
Pros:
  • Simple and easy to use.
  • Easy to navigate and understand
Cons:
  • Tutorials would be helpful. I had to consult with another vendor to get started.
  • It would be helpful not to have to re-size photos all the time. Takes too much time
“ Solid, commercial-ready display solution ”
4/5 (overall) - Gordon W H
Pros:
  • BrightSign players and technology are and easy way to solve a complex problem.
  • Integrating and displaying information from multiple sources using a single platform
Cons:
  • While the product is very mature, there are still a number of areas which can be improved.
  • The initial hardware investment can be a hard to buy-in from when comparable hardware is available to the general public
“ Large scale implementation ”
4/5 (overall) - Rebecca M
Pros:
  • It’s great to be able to update signage from anywhere as long as I have the software installed on my laptop.
  • Good reporting capabilities.Good UX UI capabilities for touch integration with both touchscreens and activation zones
Cons:
  • A bit slow. when switching between publish, manage, and their sub tabs, tends to freeze and hang up.
  • The last update to the software changed a number of features and caused some issues for us. We also find that syncing becomes as issue more frequently now

However, BrightSign also has its fair share of disadvantages, and it is best to know about them prior to using the app. With that said, the disadvantages of using BrightSign include its sluggish system performance, such as when you are switching between manage, publish, and other sub tags. There are also reports of synchronization issues. Lastly, BrightSign has a slight learning curve at the start, but can be learned quickly.
