Overview

ConvertKit is an advanced cloud-based marketing software that serves businesses – from small to large. On top of that, it also provides functionality for email marketing and marketing campaigns. Having only established itself in 2013, it is relatively new compared to other, more well-established, platforms; however, ConvertKit also grew quite a lot since then. Today, it has over 60,000 active users, and, from that, it received more than 1,800 reviews which you can find all over review websites. ConvertKit is also earning about $5.8 million per year in revenue. Plus, its 70 employees also do a fantastic job of satisfying customers.

Founded in Boise, Idaho, ConvertKit offers its services to more than a few thousand customers found in other countries. Its success is thanks to its fantastic leader and CEO, Nathan Barry. With a robust platform, ConvertKit might be the app for your company. But, since there are also others that share the market, it is best to know them as well. That said, ConvertKit competes with HubSpot Marketing Hub, ActiveCampaign Email Marketing, Moosend, OpenMoves OM3, Mailchimp Email Marketing, Rejoiner, Drip, MailerLite, Constant Contact, and Sendinblue. Know more about these platforms below.

“ My go-to for email list management and content marketing ”

8/10 (overall) - Alexa R.
Pros
  • So user-friendly and agile. It’s powerful without being hard to use. I try to get all my clients on ConvertKit if they can afford to.
  • The automations, tags, and sequences allow you to be so agile with your email marketing and retarget and build smart marketing funnels with very little effort.
Cons
  • A little bit expensive for smaller lists, hard to compete with free services for small companies.
  • Learning to build sequences and automations takes a little bit of time.

“ Great Automation Email Software, But Expensive ”

8/10 (overall) - Tyneisha S.
Pros
  • I needed an easy to use email software that could provide automation so I signed up for ConvertKit and have been very impressed so far.
  • My favorite thing is the layout and organization structure that allows me to compartmentalize my lists.
Cons
  • Even though it is very feature rich, I do find the basic plan to still be somewhat too expensive.
  • Maybe if I had a larger list I could better justify the price.

“ Better Aweber Alternative ”

9/10 (overall) - Eddy S.
Pros
  • The pricing of this email marketing service is a big reason I switched over.
  • I used aweber before and they would charge you additional if you have the same person on two lists.
Cons
  • I wish some of the automation was a little more robust and easier to use.
  • The starting price of $29 per month is higher than most competitors.
