Umbraco is a comprehensive open-source content management software or CMS that features a platform where users can publish content on the web. As an open-source platform, it works through JavaScript, C#, and Razor. Aside from that, Umbraco, since its establishment in 2005, is one of the best CMS platforms available for consumers. That said, the app currently has more than 22,000 active users with over 200 employees, and an annual revenue of approximately $4.4 million. This is the result of superb leadership from company CEO, Niels Hartvig. Plus, out of its 200 employees, there are three that deserve a mention. They are Arnold Visser, Morten Christensen, and Kim Sneum Madsen.

If you are looking for a CMS platform, Umbraco may be the go-to app. However, as mentioned earlier, Umbraco is only one of the best CMS platforms available. The app has steep competition with a handful of software. With that said, Umbraco shares the market with WordPress, Squarespace, Sitecore, Drupal, HubSpot CMS, Magento, Silverstripe, Joomla, Wix, and MS SharePoint. Find out more about these software when you scroll down now.

“ Exceptional Product ”

9/10 (overall) - Mia K
  • Umbraco’s dependability, flexibility and support are, in a word, unparalleled.
  • As a web designer, you have a vast array of tools to choose from – using Umbraco is one of the best choices you could make.
  • I really have nothing negative to report.
  • Throughout my project, anytime I ran into difficulty, the support team at Umbraco HQ was there to assist with, honestly, some of the most outstanding customer service I have ever received.

“ The best dotnet cms out there ”

9/10 (overall) - Tom H
  • Easy to install and get up and running.
  • Excellent expansion potential. Able to extend and build on with relative ease due to the MVC back end.
  • It is also based on a very old and inefficient Angular version.
  • Very limited documentation, especially on the later versions. they seem to concentrate on getting the product out there and not documentation for the people using it.

“ Umbraco is a great CMS ”

8/10 (overall) - Alexandru P
  • Very good at submitting and editing data from the content publisher’s point of view.
  • Easy to set up and generate a new project or import existing content.
  • Umbraco can be challenging to developers with fewer experience with CMS software.
  • It doesn’t really work out of the box. It requires additional configuration and searching the web for similar issues others are having.
