“ ChangeGear Product Review ”

8/10 (overall) - Jonathan A.
  • Great, easy to use tool.
  • Provides customization capabilities to fit almost any business need.
  • Transport structure and method between environments (DEV, TST, PRD) OID’s and other configuration seem to get misaligned.
  • Which causes the testing team to always have to perform thorough testing, even with the most simple changes.

“ Daily User Review ”

9/10 (overall) - Charles R.
  • There is plenty out-of-the-box forms that follow ITIL standards which made it helpful for our organization to jump start into it.
  • The simple end-user front-end, the Self Service Portal, makes users feel comfortable with entering requests without the need to look over complicated.
  • Customization can be a challenge. Creating forms is rather clumsy and if you make a mistake, it takes some time to correct it.
  • Updating from one version to another is also challenging since it is an update in place and not a migration.

“ Excellent Customer Service Throughout The Entire Process Of Implementing ChangeGear! ”

8/10 (overall) - David G.
  • We now have a Service Catalog that details our services and is published to our Customers.
  • The ability to customize the ChangeGear application to meet our environment made the implementation process very smooth.
  • There are no error messages when two technicians are in the same ticket trying to update the ticket.
  • Sometimes you cannot find exactly what you are looking for in their Knowledge Base but a submitting a ticket to their support team will get you the answers you need to any issue you might encounter.

Q & A

Q. What is the ChangeGear software used for?

ChangeGear is a sophisticated and smart help desk software that enables businesses to monitor, manage, and stay on top of their IT services. On top of that, the platform provides users with a robust change management solution that offers teams tools to configure change controls, improve communication, identify conflicts on the change processes, provide transparency when it comes to reporting and compliance, and so much more.

Q. How much does ChangeGear cost?

The ChangeGear software does not offer users with the same subscription-based pricing plans for its change management platform. It only provides customers with a quote-based price plan. That means that if a customer is interested in ChangeGear’s change management product, they would need to get in touch with the app’s sales team. When they do, the customer would need to provide what they need for their business and ChangeGear will provide exactly that with a price quote ready.

Q. Does ChangeGear offer a free trial period?

Yes, it does. To be specific, ChangeGear offers users with a 14-day free trial period for its change management and service desk platforms. For the service manager platform, ChangeGear only offers a free demo of the app. The free trial, though, provides users with an adequate amount of time to understand how the software can work for them and how it can improve their business.

Q. Is ChangeGear hosted on the cloud or on-premise?

ChangeGear can be hosted on both cloud and on-premise. When hosted on the cloud, the app installs the software on their server for quick access  for customers. When hosted on-premise, though, the software will be installed in the hardware of the user’s desktop.
