“ I like that I can use the mobile app ”

10/10 (overall) - Sarah H
  • I like how easy it is to look up colleagues and their information for easy contact. The software also makes it easy to find my payroll information.
  • Namely makes it easy to track and sign up for health benefits for my company. I also like the document portal which stores important documents like paystubs.
  • They hold you off with emails stating they are working on the problems only after you send several emails and leave many phone messages for follow up.
  • Customer service is HORRIBLE. Many times, they put you on hold for so long I have been able to figure out the answer myself and had to tell them how I did it.

“ Good for small to mid size companies ”

8.5/10 (overall) - Gaurav D
  • I can very easily get in and use the system for anything HR related. It also has some nice social features like a timeline of employee events with the ability to comment and like.
  • In addition to the software, we use their brokerage and LOVE Namely Benefits. They’ve made the transition so much easier and are basically an extension of my one-person HR team.
  • I asked for our rel to be removed from our account three times with no response only for him to be fired and all of the mistakes he made I am now paying for.
  • They messed up the quarterly reporting and never fixed it. They are absolutely horrible to deal with.

“ Good formatting ”

9/10 (overall) - Rachel P
  • We have a ver detailed and multi step performance review process, Namely allowe dus to build the ratings and concepts for our processes.
  • The abilit ti assign multiplie review writers, the steps of approval and the reminders are all key in our operations.
  • Our account contacts and the way we communicate has changed at least 3 times in the past year.
  • Sometimes i feel like there is a push to work with customer service only in their prefered way, if you send an e-mail instead of a case or if you mark something urgent that they don’t think is urgent.

Q & A

Q. How many employees can Namely handle?

Namely is a very flexible HR software. That said, it’s capable of handling organizations with up to 50 to a thousand employees. Moreover, Namely can cater to organizations from multiple industries. So, any company that’s interested to use Namely will be welcomed with open arms by its hard-working team.

Q. Does Namely enforce upgrades?

Absolutely not. Namely’s devs aren’t huge fans of constant upgrades, unlike other software devs. Namely is completely cloud-based and powered by modern technology. It only has one version; no version 2, 3, 4, and so on. But, Namely’s devs do release new features and enhancements to improve their software. But not to the point that causes a nuisance to the users.

Q. Can I see a demo of Namely before I pay to use it?

Of course. Namely offers a free demo to anyone interested. Their demo is available on their official website.
