“ Gusto is a strong and solid software ”

9.5/10 (overall) - Bradson B
  • It sends you a card to sign as a welcome for the new employee. It celebrates when you get paid and allows you to donate to your favorite charity relatively easy.
  • As a new employee being onboarded through Gusto, the experience has been good and very self explanatory, which is great for any onboarding experience.
  • Customer Service is terrible – an absolute nightmare. When mistakes are made by Gusto, they are hard, if not impossible to fix and/or get them to admit to.
  • Given wrong insurance, called the day of processing told I needed to pay over tenfold more. The guy was rude and didn’t answer my questions.

“ Incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use ”

9/10 (overall) - Christopher F
  • We love the ease of Gusto for HR resources such as payroll, benefits, and time sheets. Gusto has proven to be better than another software we had used.
  • This software was great for payroll and benefits. Gusto was also capable of maintaining the growth in our company and allowed everyone to stay organized.
  • I discovered after speaking directly to the carrier that an email went to Gusto that should have come to me warning of imminent loss of benefits.
  • The process was disjointed, confusing, incredibly time-consuming, down to the wire stress to hit a deadline that was a continuously moving target. Months later our insurance was dropped.

“ Easy to use ”

7.5/10 (overall) - Allison D
  • Gusto is easy and straightforward to use. But it doesn’t sacrifice accuracy for ease. What I like most about Gusto is that it makes it easy for small businesses to be legally compliant with complicated wage laws across jurisdictions.
  • I haven’t found a legal error yet – and I can’t say that about any other payroll software or service I’ve worked with over the last 15 years.
  • I wish the price didn’t jump up so much for time clock feature. Getting clients to use the integrated time clock can be a challenge, and it creates unnecessary problems. It should be included in the base fee.
  • I have had nothing but success with Gusto. No issues, no payroll processing problems, nothing.
