Reviews
“ Great Compositor ”
- The ease of use of this software is key in getting work done.
- The user interface has stayed consisted through its various releases and this is really important when a studio updates to a newer release as the artists don’t have to waste time trying to relearn it.
- Planar tracker was greatly modified a few releases back and it is terrible.
- Now, not so much. It barely holds unto tracking features as to where before it would detect features and hold on to them in some very poor quality footage.
“ Great Compositing Tool ”
- Python support, and it’s so easy to use.
- Easy to understand everything
- The way to install plug-in could be a little bit difficult.
- Price could be cheaper, or maybe like renderman. as long as you put on “Compositing in Nuke” you get to use it for free…
“ Industry standard, but far from perfect. ”
- Nuke is a powerful, amazing tool for solving most problems in a 3d/Compositing pipeline.
- The seamless 2d/3d integration has always been a big PRO to me, as well as the node based system to build your scripts.
- Nuke is not cheap.
- Just recently installed the latest version of Nuke at the school where I teach, and I was surprised to see a bug from version 8 or so all the way into version 11.
